1. Restart Your Device

It will clear all the minor errors that are affecting the speed of the app. To do so, press and hold a Power key for almost five seconds > then, tap the Restart button placed in the Power menu. When done, now, turn on the device after a few minutes by pressing and holding a Power key for five seconds, then open the app and check whether the issue is resolved or not. 2. Make Sure the Google App Is Up-to-Date

Another method to resolve this error is to update the app to its latest version. Also, you are required to check whether the device’s OS is updated or not. 3. Sign Out of Google Account

  2. Tap the Google account you want to remove then, select Remove account
  3. Now, head to the Manage accounts page again, scroll to the bottom of a list of accounts and tap Add account
  4. Select Google, and sign in again to your desired Google account by entering your credentials. 

When done, check whether Google Assistant is now working properly or not.

4. Remove Idle Devices No Longer Needed

The fourth method to resolve this error is to remove the idle devices you don’t use. To do so, follow the simple steps:

  1. Head to the Google app and tap the profile icon placed at the top-right corner.
  2. From a list of options, tap the settings option.
  3. Now, choose Google Assistant > Under the Popular Settings option, scroll down and tap the tile marked Devices > then, choose the Remove unused devices option.
  4. Also, there appears a list of idle devices that have not been used in over a week, a month, or three months. Now, select the device(s) you want to remove > tap the checkbox placed in front of it > select Remove to disconnect a device.

When done, now, check whether the issue is resolved or not.
