You can import passwords into Chrome in the following three ways stated as under:

1. Enable a Flag and Import Passwords Into Chrome

You are required to enable this browser’s flag page as it allows you to enable and disable various experimental features. So, enable this by following the simple steps given below:

  1. Head to the Chrome browser and type the following in its address bar: chrome://flags
  2. On a new window, search for the Password import in a search bar 
  3. Now, click the dropdown menu placed next to the flag and choose Enabled
  4. Choose Relaunch situated at the bottom as it will restore all your open tabs
  5. When Chrome opens, choose the three dots icon placed at the top-right corner and select settings > then, tap passwords 
  6. Now, click the three dots icon placed next to Save passwords & choose import
  7. Head to the CSV passwords file & select it to import them to Chrome

2. Use a Command to Import Passwords Into Chrome

The second method to import a password is by using a command. This option works both for Windows & Mac. But, the steps might differ a bit and they are as under:

On Windows

  1. Head to the Start menu and search for a Command prompt, click it
  2. Type the following command and press Enter: cd “C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application”
  3. Now, enter another command and press Enter: chrome.exe -enable-features=PasswordImport
  4. Click the Chrome browser and choose three dots placed in the top right corner
  5. Select the Settings option > choose Passwords and click the three dots icon again > choose import to import your passwords to Chrome 

On Mac

  1. Head to the Launchpad in the Dock and search for Terminal, click it
  2. Now, enter the following command in the terminal and choose Enter: /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome -enable-features=PasswordImport
  3. Tap the three dots icon placed at the top-right corner, choose settings > select Passwords
  4. Now, click the three dots icon placed next to the Save password and choose Import

3. Import Firefox Passwords Into Chrome

You can switch from Firefox to Chrome and your passwords will be to it automatically. But, this is to be done on the same PC as well as this method is used on both Windows & Mac. Other things to be transferred are browsing history, autofill form data and favourite/bookmarks. To do so, follow the simple steps:

  1. Head to the Chrome, click three dots placed in the top-right corner 
  2. Choose bookmark from a list of options and select Import bookmarks and settings
  3. Tap the Mozilla Firefox browser from a dropdown menu
  4. Tick the Save passwords option to import the passwords
  5. Choose Imports to start the importing process
  6. Click Done when done with importing
